National Law University (NLU) – New Delhi

The National Law University (NLU) in Delhi is a well-known national law school that was established by the Bar Council of India (BCI) to provide a five-year law degree. 

In 2021, NIRF recognized NLU Delhi as the second-best law school in the country. NLU Delhi provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses to over 100 students each year, with a great and experienced faculty to provide guidance and encouragement. Instead of CLAT, NLU Delhi administers the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), which determines admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs. However, admission to the Ph.D. program is also based on the University's Ph.D. entrance exam. 

NLU Delhi's urban campus includes a two-story library, a computer center, a state-of-the-art auditorium, four seminar rooms, medical services, an ambulance, sports, a bank, a canteen, a mess, digital classrooms, and an E moot court hall, among other things. Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) – New Delhi 

Jamia Millia Islamia (commonly known as JMI) is a Delhi-based central university. It was founded in 1920 and is accredited by the University Grants Commission. It is a member of the AIU and the NAAC has given the university an 'A' grade. Every year, the university initiates around 100 collaborations to launch student and faculty exchange programmes. Jamia Millia Islamia is also noted for its international exchange programmes, which it offers in partnership with several foreign colleges. JMI researchers recently developed a solar-powered disinfection tunnel to combat COVID-19.

Following are the law courses offered by the university with their fees and eligibility criteria.

PG Diploma – The total fee for this course is 26,600 INR. To be eligible for this course, one must be a graduate and clear the JMI entrance exam. 

LLM – The total fee for LLM is 8,700 INR and one needs to have a degree in LLB and clear the JMI entrance exam. 

BALLB (Hons) – The total fee for BALLB ( Hons) is 10,400 INR and the eligibility criteria for this course is 10+2 with the JMI entrance exam.

Indian Law Institute (ILI) – New Delhi 

The Indian Law Institute, also known as ILI, was founded in 1956. In the presence of numerous government leaders and other judges, the institute was inaugurated by India's first president, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. ILI was granted deemed university status by the Indian government in 2004. LLM, Ph.D., postgraduate diploma, and online certificate programmes are available at the institute. ILI's principal goal is to inspire and encourage the study of law, as well as to help change the administration of justice.

Under the Societies Registration Act, the institute is recognised as an independent organisation. The National Legal Research Center and one of the best libraries in the country are part of the NAAC-accredited institute.

University of Delhi (DU) – New Delhi 

The University of Delhi, usually referred to as DU or Delhi University is an Indian public central university located in New Delhi. The UGC has designated it as a "Institute of Excellence." According to the NIRF 2021 ranking, Delhi University is rated 12th among India's top universities. DU has developed to become one of India's major universities, with over 7 lakh students enrolled. The University of Delhi has two campuses: North Campus and South Campus. It is connected with 90 colleges, 86 departments, 23 centres, 16 faculties, and five other institutes.

Selection for the LLB programme is based on performance in the LLB entrance exam. Selection into the LLM programme at Delhi University is based on performance in the LLM entrance exam. Candidates for Ph.D. positions are chosen based on their performance on the JRF/NET/ or Ph.D. entrance exam.

Fes for the first year for LLB and LLM at DU is 5,428 INR and 5,729 INR respectively.
